Welcome to the home page of the cDNA Microarray Facility of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Our mission is to provide AECOM investigators easy access to high-density Human, Mouse or custom cDNA microarray chips for gene expression analysis and Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH).
Our core competency is the making of quality cDNA or Long Oligo microarrays spotted on microscope slides. Selecting Arrays button on the left will display our current lineup of standard microarrays produced by our facility for both Human and Mouse genomes. We have been producing standard and various custom chips for the past 6 years. The facility has recently introduced new Long Oligo microarrays for both Human (35K) and Mouse (32K) genomes. This new class of chips lowers the cost of each chip while providing an even greater coverage of the genome.   The facility now can accept purified RNA starting materials and perform the entire experiment, returning final differentially expressed gene lists to users. RNA amplification, hybridization and bioinformatics workshops are available to help our users obtain high quality, consistent results from microarrays. Please select Services button on the left to view the comprehensive services now offered by our facility. Our new Database & Tools section offers a complete, up-to-date, curated annotation and bioinformatics resource for all the genes on our chips. The web-based tools permit rapid analysis of GenePix results data so that researchers can concentrate their time on the salient results of their microarray experiments and their biological significance. |
