Description
The Evolution P3 is a precision dispense and microplate handling system that represents the next generation in liquid handling automation. The Evolution P3 is based on PerkinElmers innovative MultiPosition Dispense (MPD) module presented in a new, compact benchtop design.
The Evolution P3 in the AECOM microarray facility offers a 96- channel Dispense Head for dispensing into 96-, 384- and high-density 1536-well plates, 16-position labware deck and an automatic tip load feature. The system is capable of variable positioning in the X, Y and Z-axis with positional accuracy of 0.001-inch (0.025-mm).
A wide dynamic volume range enables high-precision pipetting from 0.5 L up to 50 L with disposable tip technology and dispense volumes as low as 20 nL using Pintool technology.
The Gripper tool integrated into the Dispense Head permits unattended microplate movement. The integrated PlateStak can be used to automatically feed up to 14 tip racks to the Evolution P3 to provide enhanced microplate and tip capacity for full walk-away automation.
The Evolution P3 is controlled using WinPREP software, an intuitive software tool for point-and-click creation of both simple and complex assay protocols.

- P50 disposable tip head with a pipetting volume range 0.5-50 L using P50 tips or pipetting volume range 0.5-20 L using P20 tips. Achieves accuracy of <2% CV across 96 wells and <2% plate to plate when dispensing 5 L of water or DMSO into liquid using P20 tips.
System Accessories
A 96- Tip Wash Station and a 1liter Reagent Bottle Cartridge are included with our Evolution P3 to provide the versatility to handle most liquid handling and sample preparation applications.
